A24Group Gender Pay Report 2025

About the Gender Pay Report 2025

At A24 Group Medical Staffing, we believe in transparency and the importance of fostering an equitable workplace within the healthcare sector. In accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017, the information below shows the median and mean gender pay gap and bonus pay gap for A24 Group Limited based on hourly rates of pay as at the snapshot date of 5 April 2025, and bonuses paid in the year to 5 April 2025.

This gender pay gap report provides a high-level snapshot of the difference in average pay between men and women across our organisation. It is important to note that while the gender pay gap measures the difference in average earnings, A24 Group remains committed to the principle of equal pay; male and female employees are paid equally for equivalent jobs.

Understanding the Numbers: Mean and Median Pay

To provide a comprehensive view of our pay structure, the regulations require us to report both the mean and median hourly rates.

  • Mean Hourly Pay: The mean represents the average of all hourly rates. At A24 Group, the mean hourly pay for women is 5.7% higher than the mean hourly pay for men.

  • Median Hourly Pay: The median represents the middle value in a list of numbers for each gender. Our data shows that the median women's hourly pay is 1.41% lower than men’s hourly pay.

These figures reflect a relatively balanced pay structure, particularly when viewed alongside our staff composition.

A Look at Pay Quartiles

To analyse how gender is distributed across various pay levels, we divide all rates of pay into four equal sections, known as quartiles. Each quartile contains the same number of individuals, expressed as a percentage of men and women.

Notably, women make up the majority of the Top Quartile (66%), which aligns with our higher mean hourly pay for women.

Bonus Payments and Composition

The 2025 report also captures data regarding bonus payments, which includes commission. During the reporting period:

  • Female employees that received a bonus: 3%

  • Male employees that received a bonus: 0%

Because no men received a bonus during this timeframe, mean and median bonus pay gap figures are not provided.

Contextualising the Data: The Healthcare Industry

The statistics gathered on the snapshot date show that 61.3% of our staff are female. This high proportion of female workers is a direct reflection of the broader healthcare industry. For instance, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) reported that as recently as 2024, only 11% of registered nurses in the UK were male.

As a recruitment agency, we place healthcare workers strictly on an equal opportunity basis. While we acknowledge that the industry's gender makeup makes it challenging to significantly shift high-level gender pay gaps, we remain dedicated to fair treatment and equal pay for all our staff.

"I have reviewed the information and am confident in its accuracy and completeness."  N. Patel, Group Financial Controller.
